When Bhagwan Shri Ram ended the tyrannical rule of Lord Ravanna, he was able to bury his remains underground in Lanka (which subsequently was called Ceylon, and now re-named Sri Lanka). Legacy has it that while Bhagwan Ram was able to kill Lord Ravanna, he was unable to kill the evil which Ravanna had left buried deep underground in Yala, Sri Lanka. Years later an Archealogical group comes across an object called the rudraksh, which when activated will re-create Ravanna and his demon hordes, who will subsequently rule the world. Unfortunately, this rudraksh falls into the hands of an evil Bhuria, who alongwith his lady love, Lali, decides to use it for his own personal power and gain. Bhuria attains special powers, albeit a little raw, as a result, and is on the look-out for a male partner, who has already trained his mind and body - none other than Sage Ved Pujan's only son, Varun, a sooth-sayer and healer, gentle and unassuming, and one who is fated to join the demon hordes led by Bhuria.
When a thief driving a motorcycle steals a purse of a pedestrian, the clumsy, naive and honest rookie policeman Sang-hwan runs after him, but the skilled specialist in martial arts Wi-jin captures the criminal and Sang-hwan is severely injured. She brings Sang-hwan to her home, where the six Masters of Tao heal him and believe that he has a powerful Qi, the spiritual energy of the universe, and could be a powerful warrior. Sang-hwan begins his training to ascend to a Maruchi, while the evil and ambitious Heuk-woon is accidentally released from his imprisonment. The powerful Heuk-woon attacks the masters, searching a key that they protect, which would permit him to become an Arahan and dominate the world. When the masters are defeated, Sang-hwan and Wi-jin are the only and last hope to mankind.
Gowri (Sumanth) is a happy-go-lucky mechanic who lives life on his own terms. Just when his life is going smooth, he falls in love with Swetha (Charmi) in a typical love-at-first-sight fashion. However, her father, a media mogul Chandrasekhar (Vizag Prasad) opposes his daughter marrying a commoner. So he hires Sarkar (Atul Kulkarni) to eliminate Gowri. But after several encounters, Sarkar understands the honesty and integrity of Gowri and abandons the idea of killing him. Interwoven into this tale is a husband-wife combo (Naresh and Kousalya) who almost adopt Sumanth as their own son. Ultimately how Gowri wins the girl forms the rest of the story.
